Dr. Phillips Center Announces New Gift from Tupperware Brands

More exciting news to share.... TUPPERWARE BRANDS CORPORATION PLEDGES $500,000 GIFT TO DR. PHILLIPS CENTER Tupperware Chairman and CEO Issues Challenge to Other Corporations for Support ORLANDO, Fla. – Rick Goings, chairman and CEO, Tupperware Brands Corporation has announced a gift to the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts of $500,000, which is in addition to its prior $1 million pledge toward the Center's stage 1 construction. Effective immediately, Tupperware Brands will request its board to contribute $200,000 annually, for a total contribution of $1,500,000. To date, of the total amount the company has already paid $500,000. According to Dr. Phillips Center Board Chairman Jim Pugh, "We are extremely grateful to Rick Goings and the Tupperware Brands family for this generous gift. It is both encouraging and reassuring to have such a huge measure of support from the corporate community." According to Goings, "We at Tupperware Brands support the vision of the Dr. Phillips Center. We believe this project will help increase Central Florida's quality of life, which is critical to our workforce and economic development. He added, "I am confident that this gift will inspire other corporate gifts; therefore, I am issuing a challenge to the local corporate community to join us with their support." "From Osceola County, Tupperware has been a major partner in our community," added Dr. Rita Bornstein, who maintains a position on both the Dr. Phillips Center and Tupperware Brands Corporation boards of directors. "Their support for this project represents their commitment to ensuring this project is embraced regionally. We are fortunate to have them as partners."
